Hi,

First I'd like to thank you for writing such a nice cookbook on TOra for Oracle compilation.

Still I've experienced two minor problems that could've been address in your article. So here's my 5 cents:

  1. LD_LIBRARY_PATH - obviously there is a problem in oracle_env.sh script which sets this variable. It appends a ':' (colon) sign by mistake.
  2. (At least in Ubuntu) - As soon as I install the new package I get an update-manager notificaiton of a newer package available that actaully points to the old version of tora package. So a version number increase (or rather packager rebranding) should be part of compilation instructions.
